The “Golden Adventures of Brett Hull” comicbook mini-series, written by Walt Jaschek, was the brainchild of The Patrick Company, a St. Louis promotion agency. They concocted a brilliant concept cross-promoting their clients McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Brett Hull and the St. Louis Blues: comic books starring Brett Hull, sold at regional McDonald’s for 99 cents with the purchase of a Value Meal. Proceeds benefitted The Ronald McDonald House. The agency also created this brilliant TV spot announcing the series. It ran throughout the midwest in 1994 and starred Brett Hull himself recreating a scene from the comics. Enjoy.
